Dear fellow Australians,
I should be stunned at today's announcement regarding 3,200 gigalitres being returned from Murray Darling Basin farmers and communities, but I am not because I have come to know how idiotic and left wing our Federal Government is.
I along with many many people hav
e been trying to get some common sense in to the whole disgraceful process.
Tony Burke you came to our towns and stated you would listen to us and take our concerns in to account, you sir are a bald faced liar and do not deserve to mentioned in the same context as the other politicians this message is going to and the rest of us in the basin.
To return 3,200 gigalitres the environment without investing in a decent infrastructure program shows how narrow minded the MDBA and our Federal Government really are.
This amount of water taken from our farmers and communities will devastate many towns throughout the basin and force many more farmers to the wall and bankruptcy, all for these so called environmental flows, which is based on very dodgy science at best.
To flood the river forests on a much more regular basis will kill tourism on the river towns and also have a huge detrimental effect on our native trees whose roots grow very deep and are used to regular dry periods.
We are living in the darkest political hour this nation has ever experienced.
