BIIIIG LETTER TO THE EDITOR

28th October 2012

Hello all,
I have let myself have a couple of days to calm down after Julia Gillard’s idiotic announcement regarding the Murray Darling Basin.

I was a successful livestock and real estate agent up until mental illness
cut my career short some years ago, since then I have laid low, taken my pills, received heaps of fantastic counselling and let my brain heal somewhat.

About 12 months ago I read an article written by Barnaby Joyce regarding the Murray Darling Basin, I thought “What can I possibly do” but wrote to him anyway, I received the same day a lovely reply from him and from then on I have become part of a very large movement trying to get some common sense in to the Murray Darling Basin plan, so thank you Barnaby for giving me the confidence to take on the challenge. Since then I have spent 3-4 hours per day keeping my Facebook and blog pages updated as well as writing copious amounts of letters to media outlets and politicians.
What has this achieved? A big fat flaming zero is what.
Tony Burke and the Labor/Greens were never going to listen to us and never will, so it is up to us (yes you and me) to mount such a huge offensive that the politicians will have no choice but to listen, it is time to stop saying “Oh she or he will do it”, we have to do it, every single person living in the Murray Darling Basin.

GET MAD, BECOME DRIVEN, FOR IF YOU DON’T OUR BASIN WILL SURELY WILT AND COULD EVEN DIE.

It is interesting that my daily readership nearly doubled on Friday, that means there are thousands of you who are very interested in the Murray Darling Basin.

Where to from here, the first thing we need is a massive protest and we also need to bombard the newspapers and politicians, we must lift this fight to a brand new height and only as a team can we do it.
